Clipping in aerosol nucleation for avoiding negative tracer concentration¶
- If the maximum production of sulfuric aerosols exceeds the available sulfuric acid gas vapors, a reduction factor will be calculated:

f_{correct} = \frac{\Delta qa_{SO_{4}}}{q_{H_{2}SO_{4}}}
\]
- If the \(J_{nuc}*f_{correct}\lt 10^{-12} /m^3/s\) then
\[J_{nuc} = 0.0\]
Otherwise,
\[J_{nuc} = J_{nuc}*f_{correct}\]
